St. Mark’s has helped to sponsor refugees from Afghanistan and Syria over the past year. The first family from Afghanistan are the family of Fawad and Roya who live in Orangeville. They have arrived and are settling into their new life in Canada. The second family are from Syria and are presently in Turkey. The first three members of the family of eight arrived in late July (2022). Thank you very much to all those who have donated clothing, kitchen items and furniture. If you are interested in serving on our Refugee Committee, please email Archdeacon Peter Scott at rector@saintmark.ca.
